Is dentistry in Romania actually as good as the UK?+
Romania is an EU member state, so its clinics operate under the same regulatory framework and material standards (EU MDR) as any in Western Europe, and dentists are registered with the Romanian College of Dental Surgeons (CMSR). Our partner clinic uses the same premium implant systems such as Straumann, plus CBCT 3D imaging and sterile protocols you would expect privately in the UK, often in newer facilities. Our partner clinic is English-speaking and several of its dentists have trained or practised abroad.
How many trips will I need?+
It depends on the work. Veneers, crowns and single implants are frequently completed in one visit of a few days. Implants that need healing time, including All-on-4, usually mean two trips a few months apart, with a temporary fixed set in between. Your written plan states the exact number of visits before you commit.
What happens if something needs fixing back home?+
You leave with full documentation, implant passports and written guarantees. Premium systems such as Straumann carry a manufacturer warranty, and clinic crownwork is guaranteed 5–10 years. You keep a UK point of contact throughout, and we help coordinate any adjustment with your own dentist. If a guaranteed component needs attention, the clinic honours it.
Once I add flights and a stay, is it still cheaper?+
For anything beyond a single small filling, comfortably yes. You book your own flights and stay, often under GBP 70 return from most UK cities, plus an inexpensive Airbnb or hotel. On a full-arch case saving GBP 9,100, two trips and accommodation are a rounding error, and the ledger figures already assume premium implant systems rather than budget substitutes.
